A cis friend in Scottand just phoned and reported they were walking with a cis mate when they unexpectedly saw a tiny terf protest in the city centre.
The terfs were not paying any attention at all to the banners they'd hung everywhere, so my friend quietly removed *all* of them and binned them except for one.
This is the kind of cis allyship I want to see more of in the world.

I interesting how British jingoism is only a thing due to propaganda. At the time of the empire, the british public being told lies of what was really happening in the colonies. And post empire being told scrubbed versions of history to keep the lie up.
It reminds me of how the British public became aware of how bad slavery actually was due to an insurance dispute and the court case having a lot of detail into slavery. or how Gandhi came over to communities near me like Darwen in the 1940s to explain why the Indians were protesting (which was hurting Lancashire textile industries) and by actually informing people got them onside because they knew what was actually happening.
Its a good reminder on how propaganda has been a long used tool to keep humans hating other humans.
